The objective of the Volunteers Help Victims of Nazism project is to contribute to the improvement and increased quality of our clients’ lives. Živá paměť thereby fulfils its mission of caring for victims of Nazism and their memorial legacy and contributing to the sharing of their historical experiences through intergenerational dialogue.

History of the project

Since its inception in 2006, this volunteer project has been substantially supported by the German Remembrance, Responsibility and Future Foundation (Stiftung Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft, hereinafter referred to as “EVZ”), the German association Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (hereinafter referred to as “ASF”) and its representative organisation in the Czech Republic, the Servitus civic association. We have also obtained accreditation for working with volunteers from the Czech National Youth Agency in the Youth in Action Programme – European Volunteer Service.
